So finally my deposited money has arrived and I'm ready to play some Poker, man!

Those two promotions I mentioned before are PokerStars All Star Week and of course the upcoming big event Spring Championship of Online Poker - All Stakes (SCOOP). My plan is to participate in this Sunday's All Star Week Wildcard tournament and try to win one of these two spots on the Challengers team. It is for sure an unbelievable competition and I will have to get extremely lucky if I want to finish in top 2 places there. Of course there will be additional money prizepool, which I'm looking forward to, because the ticket to this qualifier costs 11$.

Another goal for me, this time a bit longer, will be Race to SCOOP (as I call it, lol). During this month I will try to make as many low stake tournaments seats as possible. I will try to satellite my way in the events which are offering that possibility, also I might buy-in directly to the low tournament if I will have enough money. I probably won't go with rebuys/addons tournaments, because I like freezout ones the most. Also my current bankroll is clearly not big enough to do these things, so I will try to increase it, by playing various sit and go's (mostly Pot Limit Omaha 1$ buy-in tournaments).

The Pilot

Hello and welcome to my very first blog,

First of all, I would like to introduce myself:

I'm a Student from Lithuania and I'm big fan of Sports, especially of Basketball, Formula 1, Snooker, Tennis and Football(Soccer). I also love watching movies, listening to a great music and being in a good company. But the most, I like to play Poker.

It's been two years now since I discovered this amazing game and I can't get enough of it. Almost every day it's that hunger to win something, keeps me going. I play only online Poker for now, but I would like to try real live Poker in the near future. My favourite site to play on is PokerStars and mostly I spend my time in there. My first experience with the game was GAMEIS internet game PlayHoldem (from the creators of Carom3D). I learned the rules of Texas Hold'em there and started to play with play money, which they had. But after a couple of weeks I found that there are plenty of online Poker sites, which offers to play for the real money.
I remember my first online Poker site was i4poker. I started to play freerolls in there and managed to win some money, which of course I lost later on. I was not very satisfied with the freerolls selection so I started to search for a better Poker site, after going through a lot of Poker softwares I finally found the one I liked the most and it was PokerStars. I absolutely loved their software and environment as well as interesting promotions and that professional feeling all the time, which is PokerStars known for. I also must say that Support service was amazing and that's why I play in there till now and I'm sure I will stay there for long.

So when I got on PokerStars, I started to play their freerolls, but I wasn't successful, until one interesting promotion was introduced. It was Million Dollar Men (MDM) promotion and I participated in Round 1 freerolls, which were running every day, from 25000 players only the first 300 players were given tickets to weekly final in which first 1000 players would go to the Million Dollar Men Final and in there the first 3 players wins seats to the promotion Main Event and the oppurtunity to play with Million Dollar Men and of course the big money. So as for me, I managed to get through Round 1 and weekly finals and found my way into the MDM final. In there I went pretty deep as well. I was only 1 seat away from the final table and finished the final in 10th place. I won 100$ while 9th place got 500$. This expierence was the motive to keep on playing and try to win some more money. In the next week after my win, I started to play with that 100$ and succesfully made it to 500$ which I saw passing by me in the MDM final. I then cashed that money out and until now I haven't won anything worth mentioning.

I played No Limit Hold'em mostly, but now I'm starting to play all the games from PokerStars, my favourite ones are Pot Limit Omaha and Five Card Draw, I also like 8-Game Mix, because you can play all the games. I hate staying only on one specific game all the time, because sometimes it gets, you know, boring.

What's more, I recently saw a couple of very interesting promotions introduced to PokerStars and I want to participate in them and once again feel that amazing thrill of competition. This time it will not be free to enter, so I've already deposited 30$ and I'm ready to grind my way to these two exciting promotions that PokerStars has to offer. But about this, look for my next blog installment.
